Yes, can you believe it. Finally got the project 67 to turn over and start. I don't know what was not clicking the first couple attempts, but I did go through the whole set up with the wires for the plugs then reset the gap on the points. Then I thought maybe the coil wasn't working, so I disconnected the coil and was in the process of getting a new coil. Then I just decided that I would just try it again. I put all the wiring back on the coil. I took the carb apart to see if I had missed any…

I finally cleared out the clog in the fuel line!!!! Now looking for another carb, the one I have leaks. I just put in a rebuild kit, put fuel into it and then it started to leak and the ball float must have been cracked and didn't float to well. All the fuel started to just syphon into the carb. So its off to the neighborhood volkswagen store. I was thinking of looking around for another used one, a single barrel solex or brazilian. Not much else is been going on except the battery that was in…

Another public holiday and another opportunity to go out to the farm for a bit of offroading. A bunch of us met at Maccas on the freeway around 10 and headed out. We picked up Dave (in the red buggy) at the Oaks and got out to the property about 11. We had with us four buggys. Bluey in the V2, Adrian in his J&S swb (with dog in toe), Dave in his highly modded manta and myself in Zak, my lwb J&S. We also had Marty in his Daihatsu 4wd and another Mate Ross with a trailbike. Brian, another…

I have started upgrading the interior trim in my T3 starting with the doors. I made new door cards out of masonite, using the old dilapidated ones as a template. I initially intended to just cover them in vinyl, using a carpeted piece at the bottom to break up the large area.
It was then that I had a brain storm. I've owned a black leather lounge (massive Post & Rail) for the last 20 years. My wife has always hated it, so the two seater was given to a friend and the two single…

It looked like it was going to be a real pain to get the fuel line situated. As of today I have broken through. I used some baling wire twisted pair and shoved it from the engine to the front, I use some solvent to sprayed into the fuel line. I pushed the wire through several times to get a lot of garbage and crud to come out. It didn't go through all the way. I was trying to get the wire through from the side of the engine and it didn't work too well. I took the left rear tire off and…

I am looking forward to getting my project 67 rolling. I have put it into the garage here at home. I think the car itself is pretty straight. all the glass is original the seats look to be original. All the dials look original along with all the wiring. The nose under the spare tire space looks like it hit something. The hood itself is straight. All the material for the upholstery has rotted out and is falling apart, including the headliner. All the rubber is so dried out that its hard like…
