Just got my $900 cheque from Kevin 07. Thanks dude.
Now being the patriotic sort I'm thinking how to spend it.
My first suggestion was a new set of tyres for my bus. I'll try and buy Australian made and do the right thing for my fellow workers. Dunlop is about the only brand that fits that criteria I think.
My mechanic has been designing a breather bottle thingy to catch the oil blowing back or whatever it does from the carbies so that should knock the lot off.
What do you Volks have planned?
My darling wife who I love to bits isn't in full agreement with me here, but if I suggest to her that she should lash out on whatever tickles her fancy I still might have a chance. The razers edgetag:www.volksculture.com,2009-04-03:2951987:Topic:24162009-04-03T06:52:26.060ZHumphrey

12 years of ownership with this bus has been a great experience. We have covered every wine distict in Australia in it. If they grow grapes and make wine there we have given it a fling.Plus a few VW shows as well. It has taken a back seat though since a certain red panel has come on the scene.

Tassie Donuts, great Pinot and Chardonnay country
On the way to McLaren Vale. Best reds in the country down this way
On the way home from Margaret River, nice whites but the reds were a bit lacking over there IMO
i have recently aquired a 68 semi auto bug
grinds into reverse and clunks into gear
have complete spare transmission and servo gear

have been advised to replace all vac hoses and clamps and to tighten nut on vacuum booster (? wrong terminology)
any ideas on the correct hoses and where to source them reliably ??
does changing the ATF really require 5 L and flushing ??

OK, I'll start.
I love my Lola. 1974 LPG powered Kombi microbus. I love her blemishes, I love her when she plays up (well mostly!), I love the freedom that she gives me, and I love the Kombi community. All of you. :)

Sorry, just figured out how to upload a photo - see below for the actual photos. I'm new to all of this!!
