Comment by Burly Burlile on September 24, 2011 at 10:36 I hope to be one of the three Bill; a bucket list item has always been to visit the folks and country of Australia. And if it happens to be during Speedweek, all the better. I hope all of our plans work out.
Tootaloo till then..............

Heard on the grapevine there may be three of you guys getting out here for a trip to the outback.Look forward to meeting you guys and showing you some of the outback. We will have out work cut out for next year and things are progressing well. Vehicle builds are in front of the schedule at the moment but that can change. Am really looking to squeeze a few mph more out of the '56 Oval the team ran last year to top the new 75.534 mph record in the 36 hp SS class. Regards, countrybuggybill

Comment by Burly Burlile on September 20, 2011 at 23:48 Bill, the rain hit us also but fortunately it waited until the night before the last day so we only lost one day of racing. I am looking at joining one a Canadian friend and 36hp racer at the possibility of coming down for your Australian Speedweek next spring( the visit is on my 'bucket list' ) and hopefully that will happen. I will just have to wait and see.
I hope you fellas have been taking advantage of the additional time to prep even more VW's for the salt. Please keep me posted on who and what so I can add them to the VW LSR history in the future.
See you on the salt....................

Some great speeds including the new 36HP Record and the 139.6 mph in the Ghia.
