The score is VERY rough. A proper drummer & a more structured approach with separate tracks for each solo, not to mention proper mastering would've made a big difference but I'm pleased you guys like it. Any sort of film scoring is…

Thanks, mate, but it really isn't half as good as your shots. I just like the row into the distance.

Anyone who made it to Old Bar would've seen the band Volks In Tune perform on Saturday night at the local hall just outside the caravan park......or at least they should've. Here's our line up:

Andy(guitar&vocals), Brianna (guitar), Angela(vocals), Warby(drums), Michaela(guitar&vocals), Catriona(bass&vocals)

Here's some more pics.....sorry about the poor quality!…

'55 11 Window "Sheep Carrier" - Finding It

Posted on April 2, 2009 at 12:00am 8 Comments

After coming back from the '09 VW Jamboree over the 21st-22nd March weekend I had an itching for another project. What I wanted was an early window bus but I didn't think that was likely, especially with my budget or lack there of. My missus had taken the '67 Panel on one of her chores around town and a couple of guys wandered up, as guys often do, and admired it. Then they commented that "so and so has one of these. Talk to Mike." That was obscure and so my wife found out who she'd been… Continue

DSK Sydney to Melburg Run for the VW Jamboree '09 Part 2

Posted on March 24, 2009 at 1:12am 6 Comments

The facilities at the park were great as was the camp site. But at some ungodly hour of the morning we were awoken by a member of camp staff who said a naked man had been roaming the park and had been escorted off the property. Then she demanded we make sure he wasn't one of our party! It was really rude and totally bizarre. Not surprising Carlyle, Dutchy and Nat didn't get much sleep after that. Here's Lobus taking a load off as we packed our Splits in the morning.…

DSK Sydney to Melburg Run for the VW Jamboree '09 Part 1

Posted on March 24, 2009 at 12:34am 3 Comments

This trip was the last one I could do for at least a year due to family commitments. I decided I'd invite my mate Carlyle to ride shotgun as I thought I'd need a co-driver at some point. He used to own vintages VWs including a '62 SC but was forced to sell them for a family car and has missed them badly so the trip was a great boost for him. I actually live 2 hours south of Sydney so we met up with Dutchy, Nat, Dan and Dave at Goulburn South Maccas before continuing the journey toward… Continue

My '67 Panel Pt2

Posted on March 11, 2009 at 12:43am 0 Comments

While I managed to score some parts for the Panel over the next year or so there was no real progress until my wife and I moved out of Sydney in 2002 to spend a year in Orange. Here are some of the pics of the move to Orange:

Here's the Panel on a tilt tray leaving Kenards at Toongabbie.

And then arriving at our new place at Spring… Continue

My bus handled the trip well. Though I did have my dizzy crap out of me and have to get pushed by a snowplow for a short bit. We were chained up a bit at times, but I got really good at taking them off and putting them on quickly! :D
